Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and rumpelstiltskinai.app ("we", "us"). By using the site or signing in, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.

What the service does

You upload a photo of yourself or your own pet. Our AI turns it into a fairy-tale still for free. With a credit, we turn that still into a 10-second, AI-made tip-toe dance video (vertical, no watermark, no sound) that you can download and share. A video usually takes a few minutes to make.

Results come from AI models and vary from take to take. We can't guarantee that a still or a video will look exactly like you or your pet, and the pet dance differs from the human one.

AI models we use

We don't train our own AI models. These third-party models make your stills and videos, and we run them through fal.ai:

In videos of you, the dance follows our own reference dance video, which we made with Kling 2.5 Turbo (text to video). We don't use the original tip-toe clip.

Your results depend on these models, and if a provider has an outage, the service may be slow or unavailable. If we switch to a different model, we will update this list.

Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account. Each account gets one free still; don't create extra accounts to get more.

Content rules

These rules cover the photos you upload and the stills and videos you make and share with our service.

Whose photo. You may only upload a photo of yourself or of a pet that belongs to you. You confirm this each time you upload.

Prohibited content. You may not upload, make or share content in any of these six categories:

Sexual or adult content (NSFW): nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive photos.
Violence or gore: graphic violence, injuries, blood, threats with weapons, or self-harm.
Hate speech: content that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits, including hateful symbols.
Content that puts children at risk: any photo of a person under 18, and anything that sexualizes or endangers a minor. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is never tolerated.
Deepfakes and impersonation: a photo of any person other than yourself, including friends, family, celebrities, politicians and other public figures; or using a still or video to pass it off as real footage, or to impersonate, harass, defame or deceive anyone.
Copyright and trademark infringement: a photo you don't have the right to use, such as someone else's photo, a film still, or an image of a copyrighted character, logo or brand.

Also don't upload or make anything illegal, or use your stills and videos to break the law or a platform's rules.

Using your stills and videos

You may download your stills and videos and use them for any lawful purpose that follows the content rules, including posting them on social media. Our videos have no sound. If you add music when you post, you are responsible for following that platform's music rules. We don't grant rights to any song.

How we moderate content

No prompts. You can't type a prompt. Every still and video uses the same fairy-tale scene, costume and dance, which we wrote, so the service can't be asked for sexual, violent or hateful scenes.
Upload confirmation. Before each upload you confirm the photo shows you or your own pet, and no other people, celebrities or children.
Model safety filters. The models from Google and Kuaishou have their own safety filters and refuse some photos and results that break their rules. When that happens, no still or video is made.
Human review. We review every report by hand. We may also review a photo, still or video when we suspect it breaks these rules.

Reporting content

If you see a still or video made with our service that breaks these rules, or that uses your face without your permission, email support@rumpelstiltskinai.app. Include the video link, or where you saw it, and what is wrong. You don't need an account.

We handle reports about children, sexual content, or someone's face used without permission first, and act on them within 24 hours. We act on other reports within 3 business days. We tell you what we did, and we don't tell the uploader who reported them. Reports made in bad faith, or repeated false reports, may lead to action against the reporter's account.

What happens if you break the rules

Depending on how serious the breach is, we may:

delete the photo, still or video;
warn you by email;
suspend your account while we look into it;
close your account for good, and block new accounts you create;
report it to law enforcement.

Child sexual abuse material and sexual deepfakes of real people lead straight to account closure and a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the police. Credits used on content that breaks these rules are not refunded, and neither are unused credits on an account we close for breaking them. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we will take another look.

Ownership

You keep the rights you have in your photo. You give us permission to store and process your photo, stills and videos, and to send them to our service providers, only to provide the service to you and only until they are deleted.

We don't claim ownership of your stills and videos. AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright, and other users may get similar results. We own the site, its code and design, our dancing character, and the rumpelstiltskinai.app name.

Not affiliated

Every still and video is AI-made. We are not affiliated with the creators of the original tip-toe clip, the 1987 Cannon film Rumpelstiltskin, Riff Raff, or his record label. Rumpelstiltskin is a character from a public-domain fairy tale.

Credits, prices and payment

One credit makes one video. Current packs and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax; VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
Each video you buy adds two more free stills to your account.
Each paid video includes one free redo. The redo replaces the earlier video. If a free redo fails, you can try it again for free.
If a video fails to generate, we return the credit to your account automatically.
Credits don't expire. They have no cash value and can't be transferred, except for the refunds described in our Refund Policy.
Checkout is handled by Waffo (Waffo.com Limited), which sells you the credits as merchant of record. Waffo's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Your bank may charge currency conversion fees.
Credits are added once Waffo confirms your payment, usually within a minute. If they don't arrive, email us with your receipt.

Refunds

Failed videos get their credit back automatically. Finished videos aren't refundable, but each includes a free redo. Unused purchases can be refunded within 14 days. The details are in our Refund Policy.

Files are kept for 30 days

We delete your uploaded photo, the still made from it and its video 30 days after your last take with that photo (a still, a video or a redo). Download the videos you want to keep; we are not a storage service. Unused credits stay on your account after files are deleted, and you can use them with a new photo.

Acceptable use

Don't try to get around the free still limit, payment or other limits; scrape or automate the site; overload or attack it; or resell the service.

Closing your account

You can stop using the site at any time. To delete your account, email us; our Privacy Policy explains what we delete and how long it takes. If we close your account when you haven't broken these terms, or if we shut down the service, we will refund the credits you bought and haven't used.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that results will meet your expectations, beyond what the law requires.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
